MCMSA Foundation

Established thirty-eight years ago, The MCMSA Foundation deals with the charitable activities of the Alliance by providing scholarships to students in health-related career programs and by funding community health promotion programs.   This past year funds were raised by the following projects: the Holiday Sharing Card,  the Holiday Bazaar, Empty Bowls Project and through Memorial Donations. $17,250 was awarded this year in scholarships to Wright State University Medical Students and $4,000 to WSU nursing students.  Eighty-five hundred dollars was awarded to Community Health Scholarships at Kettering College.  A total of $40,364.51 was gifted during the 2016-2017 fiscal year.

* $21,250 was awarded as scholarships to 8 medical students and 4 nursing students at Wright State University

* $8,500 was awarded as scholarships to 7 students at Kettering College

* $958.80 was gifted to the Domestic Violence Shelter at the YWCA

* $1,500 was donated to the Reach Out program

* $8,155.71 was donated to The Food Bank

The MCMSA Foundation has assets of $219,506 in the Scholarship Endowment Fund at The Dayton Foundation, $4,203 in the Bershas Fund, and $17,696 in the Community Health Education and Promotion Fund. The balance in the Wright State University/MCMSAF Scholarship Fund is $57,676.

Additionally, MCMSA Foundation continues to administer grant monies awarded to the Health Promotion Project, RAYS (Raising Awareness of Your Skin.)

The MCMSA Foundation (501(c) 3) gratefully accepts memorial donations.

Assets are administered by the Foundation Board and all donations are lOO% tax deductible.
